Card Types

  • There are two types of cards in Splinterlands. Summoners and Monsters.
  • Monsters and Summoners are organized by "Splinters" or elements or factions.

Monster Cards

Any person or creature that is called forth by a Summoner to do battle. Monsters do the actual fighting.

  • The level of Monster that you can use in battle is determined by your league and summoner level.
  • Any person or creature that is called forth by a Summoner to do battle. Monsters do the actual fighting.
  • Both Summoners and Monsters may be found in Splinterlands Booster Packs.
  • You can level up monsters buy combining 2 or more together.
  • Monsters require different amounts of cards in order to level up.
  • The icon color in the center of the card indicates the rarity of card.

Summoner Cards

A magic user who harnesses one of six primal forces. They use this power to summon monsters.

  • The League you are fighting in dictates the level of the Summoner you may use in battle.
  • The Level of the Summoner dictates the level of Monsters you may use in battle.
  • A magic user who harnesses one of six primal forces. They use this power to summon monsters aligned to their Splinter.
  • Unless otherwise staed by the games ruleset all Summoners can summon neutral cards
  • Both Summoners and Monsters may be found in Splinterlands Booster Packs.
  • You can level up Summoners buy combining 2 or more together.
  • Summoners require different amounts of cards in order to level up.
  • The icon color in the center of the card indicates the rarity of card.

Card Splinters

Each of these primal forces is championed by distinct factions known as Splinters.

  • A Summoner uses magic to call upon the various races, habitats, and creatures that exist within the same Splinter. For example, a Summoner of the Earth Splinter will be able to call forth monsters that live in the mountains and forests.
  • Before each battle begins you will be notified which Splinters are usable.
  • All Splinter Summoners may summon Neutral Monsters
  • At the Start of Battle Dragon Splinter Summoners choose an additional Splinter. They may summon both Dragon Monsters and Monsters from the Splinter they choose.
